# Day & Note

> A free desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux that gives you a structured, easy way to manage your days and go back to them. Each day is one page with your Google Calendar meetings, tasks and notes, split by project. Notes stay in a folder on your computer, with no account and no internet needed, or sync across devices end-to-end encrypted. Currently in alpha.

- One page per day: meetings, tasks and notes sit together, organised by project and sub-project.
- Easy to go back: every past day stays as you left it, and search finds anything you've ever written. Unfinished tasks carry over to today, so nothing gets left behind.
- Price: free.
- Platforms: macOS 11+ (universal .dmg, Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows 10 and 11 64-bit (.exe, no admin rights), Linux (AppImage, .deb). The app updates itself. The latest version is 1.28.0.
- Storage: by default notes are saved in a folder on your computer (`~/Day & Note`, SQLite plus image files) with no account and no internet needed, and nothing you write reaches our servers. Optional cloud sync works across devices and is end-to-end encrypted.
- Privacy: with cloud sync, content is sealed with XChaCha20-Poly1305 before it syncs, and the server stores only ciphertext. The app has no analytics. Google Calendar access is read-only.
